Total Pelvis Release
The Total Pelvis Release was created by Dr. Hannah Lane in response to an overwhelming need for a more holistic and intensive way to address pelvic related issues in her patients. The pelvis is a central structure in the musculoskeletal system that supports the weight of the upper body when standing and sitting. It connects the spine to the lower limbs, allowing for movement and stability. It also protects internal organs and serves as an attachment point for numerous muscles involved in posture, locomotion, and balance.

Dr. Hannah found that many of her patients suffer from chronic pelvic pain due to multiple reasons including injuries, postural syndrome, surgeries, and reproductive organ issues. Caesarean surgeries, endometriosis laparoscopies, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), sexual trauma, laparoscopic procedures, hernias, and any other abdominal surgeries or traumas have the potential to create pelvic scar tissue and adhesions. Left untreated, they may lead to chronic pain, reduced mobility, fertility problems, and compensation patterns that affect the hips, spine, and lower limbs.

Dr. Hannah has combined her (over a decade+) knowledge from school, continuing education, visceral adjusting, myofascial techniques, clinical experience, and lived experiences into formulating a comprehensive myofascial and visceral release of the pelvis. The goals of treatment is to free the pelvis area from any scar tissue and/or adhesions, balance muscle groups, improve blood flow, and allow for more pelvis mobility.

What to expect

During a consultation, Dr. Hannah will review your detailed history forms. This will allow her to better assess what areas should be focused on along with your specific goals. During the consultation Dr. Hannah will also assess the pelvic region for mobility, scar tissue, restrictions, pain etc.

The Total Pelvis Release therapy consists of weekly sessions for 4-6 weeks. Sessions last from 45-60 minutes.

During the therapy Dr. Hannah will work on the abdomen area from belly button to pubic bone, the sides of the pelvis, the lower back, and gluteal region. Occasionally she will work higher in the abdomen if there are organ/fascial restrictions found to connect there. There is no internal work performed. The therapy is hands on and utilizes modesty draping typical with any body work/massage.
